Being an outdoor learning coordinator / practitioner in a setting can seem a lonely job at times. Deborah Lambert co-author of Bloomsbury's National Curriculum Outdoors series and chair of The Learning Institute Natural Schooling Research Interest Group is setting up a 'National Curriculum Outdoors' practitioner network, initially in Cornwall.
The aim of the network group is to:
The group will provide the opportunity to meet up with like minded people for an hour or so after school at a host school. There is no obligation to join in with every meeting.
As membership grows, it is hoped that the meetings will take place all over Cornwall or even the country; in person where possible or online (as we are so good at that now!).
Every half term the host school will share their outdoor learning space and practice.
This will be followed by a practical session, taking a different curriculum subject outdoors each time with time to network and deepen outdoor learning practice.
This is absolutely free!
Use the 'contact us' form below to express your interest.
If you are not in Cornwall but are interested in setting up your own network please do get in touch and we will do what we can to facilitate this.
